2 megapixel camera
This 2 megapixel CameraLinkT camera of PV500 has a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. The camera offers a high richness in details, which gives you a significant benefit for example for measurement or surface inspection applications. Even the slightest product deviation or flaw can be reliably detected or measurement in the range of a few microns can be realized. One would need 6 to 8 conventional cameras to achieve the resolution offered by this 2 Megapixel camera.

CameraLinkTM cameras
Using digital CameraLinkTM cameras, signal conversions from digital to analog and vice versa, which often creates noise (A), can be omitted. This leads to a noticeably reduced noise level and high contrast of the images (D). Images of such high quality are the right basis for precise measurement and inspection.

Precise inspection algorithms
Not only the PV500 cameras are suitable for precise inspection, but also the inspection algorithms implemented in the system. Inspection results can be obtained with a resolution of 1/1000 of a pixel.

Smart pre-processing algorithms
One requirement for reproducible inspection results is a defined image. However, in reality images are quite often distorted or blurred e.g. by dust or chipping. The 13 filters of PV500 allow you to remove such disturbances and to optimize the images prior to their actual inspection.

Data conversion
Measurement data can be output in millimeter instead of pixels. Also the zero point can be adjusted to real on-site conditions. This makes it possible for users to operate and work with familiar units and coordinates.
