Panasonic Ethernet

All relevant factory automation products communicate with each other via Ethernet. Main focus is the connection to the IT-world and the use of its advantages:
- uses existing networks, saves wiring
- reaches almost every point of the world via Internet
- standard software tools already existing on your PC
- remote control, monitoring and programming

The FP Web-Server brings together all the FP series controllers with Ethernet an all the possibilities of this new technology. In addition, for the FP2 / FP2SH series controllers, Panasonic provides high-end ET-LAN modules for particularly fast communication on the Ethernet network.

Panasonic BACnet

Our BACnet products are available as two different types of interface units: BACnet/IP and MS/TP. All FP-Sigma CPUs can thus be connected via BACnet. Naturally, other interface units for inputs and outputs just as other fieldbus slave units can be used, for example to establish a gateway between IEC60870-5 and BACnet.

Panasonic PROFIBUS

Implies manufacturer-independent communication at the field level. The European PROFIBUS standard EN50170 guarantees compatibility of all certified devices. 150 companies offer more than 800 products with PROFIBUS interfaces.

- FP0 DP slave unit or remote I/O unit
- FP-Sigma DP slave units (FNS*)
- FP2/FP2SH DP slave unit (FNS*)
- FP-Sigma DP master unit
- FP2/FP2SH DP master unit

*FNS = Flexible Netork Slave with exchangeable communication module, also for CANopen and DeviceNET.

Panasonic CANopen

Implies manufacturer-independent communication at field level. The CANopen standard guarantees compatibility of all certified devices.

Panasonic DeviceNet

Panasonic Profinet IO

Implies manufacturer-independent real-time industrial ethernet communication. Two RJ45-port connectors with an integrated 2-port switch enable communication within any network topology (bus, ring, tree, star) reducing the need for expensive external switches.
Specification according to IEC 61158/IEC 61784-1. Panasonic Profinet IO Device Unit complies with Profinet IO conformance class B.

MEWNET-W

Communication at process level between PLC systems using low-cost two-wire circuitry. Data exchange via RS485 interface (Token Bus). The network is the best choice for an economical PLC link such as an I/O status transfer among machines.

MEWNET-W2

PLC link with economical twisted-pair cables (Token-Bus). In addition to PLC link functions, a data transfer function that allows a PLC program to be used to set the memory of the transfer source and the destination is provided.

Modbus

Standardized industrial network in accordance with the Modbus RTU, the world's de-facto standard. The individual communication participants e.g. PLCs, HMIs, temperature controller, can be networked point to point or as multidrop configuration.

C-NET

Computer-Network
LOW COST network in master / slave process for communication between computer and PLCs.

MEWNET-TR

The sensor/actuator bus
MEWNET-TR provides low-cost transmission of digital I/O information at
sensor / actuator and field level between a master connection assembly and decentralized terminals (slaves).
Transmission rate: 500Kbps

Max. distance: 700m using twisted pair cable

TR-NET

The intelligent sensor / actuator bus terminals in the TR-NET from Panasonic
make cost-intensive network masters superfluous in compact automation
projects. Digital information from a sensor station is transmitted via two-wire
circuitry directly to the associated station.
Transmission rate: 500Kbps
Max. number of stations: 32 (per master unit)
Max. distance: 700m using twisted pair cable

MEWNET-F

Decentralised I/O
MEWNET-F is a remote I/O system which can control differently located inputs and outputs with 2-wire cable. This system is best suitedfor a network in which I/Os set up in different spots: a control box in a distant place, for example.

Max. distance: 700m

S-LINK

The serial I/O bus for up to 128 components per port, uses two-wire signaling
circuits and connects components in the multidrop system to reduce networking costs.
Transmission speed: 28.5Kbit/s,

Max. distance: 200m (400m using a booster)
